SCHEDULE OF THE DAY
Each Experience Day offers two 90 minute workshop sessions.

  • 10.30am – 12.00pm: Workshop Session 1
  • 12.00pm – 12.30pm: Lunch Break
  • 12.30pm – 2.00pm: Workshop Session 2

INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATION
Some of the larger Experience Days have matched workshops that participants must complete. These ‘sister’ workshops have been matched as they complement one another, ie. Fashion Design & Interior Design. They also allow for the larger Experience Days with more workshops and more participants to run smoother.

SCHOOL GROUPS
Once a school has registered their involvement in an Experience Day they will be contacted directly by a member of our Schools Team.

Secondary schools may bring up to 15 students to an Experience Day. The Schools Team will work with you to compile your student’s workshop selections prior to the day you are attending.

CHANGES TO EXPERIENCE DAYS IN 2019
The following changes will be made to Experience Days in 2019.
  • Participants will undertake 2 x 90 minute workshops as oppose to previous years where 3 x 60 minute workshops were run.
  • Experience Days will have ‘sister’ workshops that are matched, ie ‘Hairdressing & Beauty Services’. Students will need to complete both workshops and cannot swap or opt out.
  • Introduction of guest speakers from industry
  • Introduction of student guest speakers

WHY GET INVOLVED?
Experience Days are exciting and interactive events that give students and the general public an understanding of TAFE courses and career opportunities available to them.

Each campus that hosts an Experience Day showcases the study areas offered onsite through a variety of different workshops.

By participating in an Experience Day you are given a front row seat to meet the teacher, explore the campuses and get hands-on in one hour interactive workshops designed to give participants a taste of what studying in a specific field can involve.
